Shirts, Bags, Tumblers and More!
We had a wonderful visit to Muncie for the 2024 total solar eclipse! The downtown was so charming, everyone we met was very nice, and viewing the eclipse in the park by the reservoir was spectacular! It was also nice to see the Garfield sculptures in the tourism office. We will never forget our visit and hope to return again someday! Thank you again for the hospitality and providing a great experience!
I just got home (after two nights in Muncie camping – in a tent – at the fairgrounds. I had a wonderful time. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the Minnetrista experience was fantastic. Great meals, great people 2 thumbs up for Muncie!
Experience the 2024 Solar Eclipse In Muncie
On April 8th, 2024, Muncie and Delaware County will experience an event that will only occur once in a lifetime, a total solar eclipse. On this day of black sun, the moon’s shadow will be cast on the earth in a clear path. Muncie is in that shadow’s way, in a zone referred to as “totality.” Muncie and Delaware County will go dark in the middle of broad daylight. We are planning the weekend leading up to the Monday Eclipse that both young and old can experience the magic in Muncie.
The City of Muncie, Destination: Muncie, Academy of Model Aeronautics, DWNTWN Muncie, Muncie Public Library, and several other local businesses, including our friends at the Charles W. Brown Planetarium, are all looking forward to this time with us. As your host, we welcome all those who want to witness the eclipse at one of our prime viewing locations in Muncie & Delaware County.
For all you Delaware County natives and those planning to travel here, we invite you to join us for a great family weekend full of intrigue, excitement, good local food, and entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
As further details develop, we will share where to stay, the viewing areas, volunteer opportunities, transportation, where to shop, and the eyewear required to enjoy the solar eclipse safely.
Please check back soon we don’t want you to miss out on this historic day of total totality! Check out our socials as well, that’s @MuncieSolarEclipse2024 on Instagram and @EclipseMuncie on Facebook.
